Prostate problems
Guys: This story will press upon your mind to take care of your friend, the prostate. I returned from a vacation to Chicago, and reminded to schedule an appointment for a physical exam with my primary doc. All was OK; PSA was high. The doctor scheduled an evaluation with an urologist. A suspecious lesion was noted. Next appointment scheduled a prostate biopsy. I was instructed to lie on my RT side. My butt checks were separated by the urologist; take slow deep breaths, relaxing the anal canal. I was in heaven I felt the biopsy gun entering my rectum receiving exuberant pleasure. Anyway, prostate cancer was diagnosed the day before my partner's 40th birthday. MY prostate gland has been removed. I feel my manhood has been stolen from me, and I did nothing criminal. So, guys take care of your prostate gland, you will be glad you did!!! PS: Guys ejaculate every day. Don't let Christian conservatives tell you it's SIN. Doug Archer
Hi Guys: To you Seb, Thanks for this opportunity to express my feelings. I now feel my prostate cancer experience is not in vain. Choosing a urologist is like choosing your family doctor or dentist. If you are able to choose, congratulations, choose carefully. Select with your personality in mind. Let me give you my story. My prostate problems date back to late September, early October, 2003. The doctor I saw was an older man who had difficulty in relating to a gay man. The Urologist gave me the finger, and instructed me on the Void Flow Rate Test. After the test, the doctor said: "Your flow rate was lousy." I expected higher vocabulary content. I returned in a week for the biopsy. It was a painful experience because I was not given any anesthesia. The doc took five samples. After the fifth, I fainted for a second, then came too with mild sweat. I rested, then left. Not once did the doc come in to see how I was doing. He left the exam room and was talking with a businessman dressed in a three-piece suit. I went home, not happy. After the biopsy, voiding was becoming more difficult. I remember going to a stage production with my partner, I went to the bathroom four times in that one-evening. That was not normal for me. Difficulty increases; Wednesday afternoon hits. I call my partner to tell him I can't "urinate." My partner said: "not at all?" I will come home. I called the docs office: "I can't urinate." The nurse said: "We are busy, call 911." I take a ride in a paramedic van to the hospital. I was placed in triage. You won't believe what happens next: In the room, there was a mother with her fifteen-year-old son with a cut on his finger. Of the two of us, the fifteen year old was treated first. Can you believe that? My partner told the Emergency Room Physician. The physician was not happy. I went home with a catheter inserted in my penis for a week. I returned to this urologist in one week. He removed the catheter and said to me: "you are not having a baby." I couldn't believe his rhetoric. My urological prognosis improved. I returned to my family doctor for follow-up care. Follow-up care continued to Oct, 2004 when my partner's company changed insurance to a PPO. It all changed for the better. I was able to see a urologist that was personable to my health needs. THEN PROSTATE CANCER HIT, October 25, 2004, the day before my partners 40th birthday. Doug Archer
As I am past 70, have had prostate removed, and am diabetic I had pretty much given up on any form of sex, but since my surgery I thought see what I could do. I have found very pleasurable orgasms by lying on my back, and rubbing up and down movements on my cock, with a flat palm pressing down on my abdomen with my penis neath the palm. It also helps to extend the stimulation so that some testicular jerking is included. I was shocked to have an orgasm, but it is very small amount, as it is mostly fluid from Cowpers gland - I only have a shell of a prostate. I thought it interesting that the volume being only a fraction of pre surgery volume, the relatively pure C gland secretion was much more sticky, as it dries much faster than normal semen. It's a lot more difficult to wash up, afterward. Not bad for 72! Robert
To Whom It May Concern: I had brachytherapy to rid myself of the possibility of having cancer of the prostate. The problem however lies that I am experiencing low libido and watery semen. I have spoken to the doctors at my clinic. They seem to have no concern of the problem or an answer to the watery ejaculate. The medications they want me to take is to dry up the watery semen. They say its good if I have the feeling of the ejaculate process without the ejaculate. I am concerned, because in two months I'll be 50 with problems either with ED, low libido, or no ejaculate. Here in America medicines and therapy is based upon insurance and the ability to pay. Is there someone out there that can move my direction in a more positive light. I would really like to be in the know about what I can do with this problem. nahtanoj59
Seb Cox replies : I am NOT a doctor, and any advise I give should be taken in that light. To produce seminal fluid, the prostate and the seminal vesicles take such substances from the blood as zinc, citric acid and potassium, and then concentrate them up to 600 times. Any traces of radiation from your treatment present in the blood likewise would be concentrated. So I think whets happening is your body is simply flushing them out, rather than have them hanging around causing trouble. Regular masturbation will help speed up the process. But please be gentle with yourself. You don't need to ejaculate every time you pleasure yourself. You prostate has been through a very traumatic experience; you have been through a very traumatic experience. Now it's time to spoil yourself.
